Public editorial policy
Access and hospitality
Complimentary tickets, invitations, press access, review copies or hospitality never guarantee coverage or favourable coverage.
Genuine experience
Reviewers must genuinely attend or experience the performance, event or work they review. AI is never presented as having attended an event.
Human accountability
A named human editor or contributor is responsible for each published article. AI tools do not receive bylines.
AI transparency
AI may assist with research organisation, transcription, editing, production and workflow. Material AI assistance is disclosed where relevant, and a human verifies and approves the final work.
Verification
Factual claims should be checked against primary or authoritative evidence wherever practical. Sources and methods are made visible where they materially support the work.
Editorial and paid work
Paid, sponsored or partner-supported content is clearly labelled and kept distinct from independent editorial coverage.
Corrections
Factual concerns are reviewed. Where a substantive correction is warranted, the article is corrected transparently and receives a dated note.
Rights and dignity
We respect copyright, image and music rights, privacy, cultural rights and the dignity of the people and communities covered.
